Our Preschool aims to:

  • provide high quality care and education for children below statutory school age;
  • work in partnership with parents to help children to learn and develop;
  • add to the life and well-being of the local community; and
  • offer children and their parents a service that promotes equality and values diversity.

We aim to ensure that each child:

  • is in a safe and stimulating environment;
  • is given generous care and attention, because of our ratio of qualified staff to children, as well as volunteer parent helpers;
  • has the chance to join with other children and adults to live, play, work and learn together;
  • is helped to take forward her/his learning and development by being helped to build on what she/he already knows and can do;
  • has a personal key person who makes sure each child makes satisfying progress;
  • is in a playgroup that sees parents as partners in helping each child to learn and develop; and
  • is in a playgroup in which parents help to shape the service it offers.

OUR COMMITTEE.

Our preschool is managed by a parent-run Committee who meet regulary to support the pre-school team in all aspects of the pre-school.

We help with fundraising events and we have been known to grab a jet washer and help with cleaning!
If you would like to be involved in shaping the way the setting works and ensure that it continues to thrive in our community, please let us know. Our meeting dates are listed on our social media pages as well as on the notice board so you are welcome to come along and find out how you can join and begin to help make a difference. New members can join at any time of the year.
Remember without a committee the preschool can’t run so make sure to ask about how you can join and help us grow!
 You can contact us at any time by emailing info@openwoodgatepreschool.co.uk or alternatively speak to a member of staff regarding this.
Thank you
